Day 12- Pace Goup/ 7 miles

Ok, I heard once you hit 6 miles you can get through the rest...wrong. Or maybe it hasn't hit me yet. Saturday's run was brutal because the sun sent us a memo...it's going to be scorching hot! The first 4.5 miles were good. I felt great, but once I hit mile 5.5 I thought I was going to collapse. I need to learn how to continue to keep myself hydrated without drinking too much water. Which of course is uncomfortable.

Once we hit mile 6 and was going for mile 7 I really felt the urge to just walk. But I couldn't. I didn't have it in me to just stop. It wasn't that I was in pain, it was just HAWT! Just uncomfortable. My team did a great job at motivating each other as well as plowing through the miles themselves.

Last week's morning run (Day 11- Friday, July 16th) was fantastic! I ran for about an hour and it even started raining (lightly). During our Saturday morning runs, we're not allowed to run with ipods which is hard bc I NEED to run with music. BUT during my weekday runs I bust out the music. Believe me when I say running to soundtracks are amazing. Yes, soundtracks., movie scores. Those that know me well know I love soundtracks. Not to be corny, but it kinda makes you feel like your a part of the movie. My recent favorite to run to is Transformers. Check it out, run to it, it'll change the way you feel about scores. Trust me.
